Hydroponic systems are the heart and soul of an indoor garden. These systems allow for “soilless gardening” which translates into plants and vegetables that grow about 25% faster and yield foliage that can be 50% larger all while using less fertilizer and virtually zero pesticides. It is easy to see why hydroponics is quickly becoming a popular solution for home gardening. There are several types of hydroponic systems to choose from…
Aeroponic: Water/nutrient solution is sprayed onto the roots from the reservoir keeping oxygen levels high which translates into quicker growth.
Drip Irrigation: A very simply yet highly effective system in which the water/nutrient solution is delivered around the base of the plant.
Ebb and Flow: The nutrient solution is flooded into a reservoir holding the plants for a specified period of time, then drained so that oxygen can reach the roots to promote growth.
